Pamie and Matt Harris joined on the investigation during the first part. Meggy set up the DVR in the downstairs sitting area to record any possible EVP’s that might be captured. During the walkthrough, the group as well as the owners of the
residence sat in the kitchen area and discussed what had taken place since the last investigation (see Case No: 00127).

Spoke with Larry and Julie candidly in the kitchen area of the home. During this time, Larry disclosed how he had been
“touched” by something. Larry stated that he was woken up around 3:00am to something that tugged on his foot and said to him “Get up, let’s go”. Larry states that he thought it was Julie, but realized that it hadn’t been her. 

Julie stated that she was going up the stairs to do some cleaning and heard a low “guttural” growl coming from the second bedroom. She stated that this frightened her and has since not been in that room alone. Both Larry and Julie stated that the TV in the downstairs sitting area had been turning off and on, they had the cable company out to see what could have been the problem. The cable company could not find anything that would have caused this occurrence.

After discussing with the Kings events they have experienced since the last investigation, the Kings left the residence and video cameras were set up.  One camera was setup in the downstairs directed at the front room. The other (night vision) camera was set up in the spare bedroom.   We split up into two teams, one with Meggy and Pamie; the other with Matt and Shawn.  Matt and Shawn began in the spare bedroom.  They conducted an EVP recording session.  Nothing was observed. 

During this time Meggy and Pamie conducted and EVP recording session downstairs in the sitting area. It was noted that Meggy and Pamie heard footsteps directly above them in the master bedroom. Meggy confirmed with Shawn that it was not him or Matt and they had remained stationary in the spare bedroom. Meggy and Pamie both experienced a cold chill while sitting downstairs. The EMF meter recorded a reading spike within the normal ranges, however it is not enough to say it was something paranormal.

After a while, Meggy and Pamie switched with Shawn and Matt and they went downstairs to conduct a second EVP session in the downstairs living room. 

The downstairs living room was chosen for some work as the Kings had reported incidents of the TV going on by itself.  While there are several natural explanations for this happening, it was decided to do EVP sessions in there anyway to see if any paranormal activity could be directly observed.  During the session, Matt claimed to feel a cold chill in his arm.  At the same time Shawn was feeling a chill in a different arm.  Shawn made the comment that if the ghost wished to make its presence known, it should affect both of us in the same way, say make our legs cold.  Not long after that both Matt and Shawn experienced cold chills in our legs.  Unfortunately, due to the lack of any other observable phenomena, we have to conclude that this was probably a psychosomatic response and not paranormal in nature.

After the two EVP recording sessions were held, Pamie and Matt had to leave, so the conclusion of the investigation was conducted by only Shawn and Meggy.  For the third EVP recording session, the night vision camera was set up in the master bedroom (which is where most activity has been either observed or captured on media). 

For this session it was decided that due to the high level of EVP activity observed, we would try the Ghost Box to see if a more live two way communication could be coerced.    Additionally, Mr. King had reported that he had been touched in the master bedroom, so a touch sensitive device (Eye of the Storm) was also employed.

The final setup for this session consisted of the night vision video camera, a Ghost box (modified radio that constantly scans radio frequencies) connected to a speaker with a digital voice recorded placed in front of the speaker.  Next to this was the Eye of the Storm plasma globe which has slider switched that allow sound and touch sensitivity as well as focus to be controlled. 

It should be noted that this is in no way a scientific device and its results, without any other evidence is highly suspect. However it offered a way to test the slightest touch in the dark, where geophones may not succeed.  In this investigation, the control sliders were set while the ghost box was running (so volume was known) and tested numerous times, so it can be said with relative confidence that the globe was not sound activated when it was turned on.

The ghost box session appeared to have mixed results.  There were several seemingly intelligent responses to questions, but when reviewed later, they could not be verified with enough confidence to validate for certain.  However a large number did survive the validation process. 

One mistake that was discovered during review was that the recorder was placed too close to the speaker, and in some cases, drowns out the investigators questions.  Thankfully, in several of these cases, the video review filled in the gaps. 

One of the most incredible EVPs caught was when Meggy asked who we were talking to and we got an immediate answer, ‘ghosts’.  We also asked that they touch the plasma globe to turn it on and had some interchanges regarding the plasma globe itself.  The key thing was that the ghost box appeared to be working as it has been advertised in the past.

Shawn had asked that “they” turn the globe on after Shawn and Meggy left the room, Shawn stated that we would be coming back in a few minutes to check. Shawn and Meggy left the upstairs area and went to the kitchen and took a 15 minute break.

Shawn returned upstairs and noticed that the globe had in fact been disturbed and was on. Review of the video shows that the cat in the home did not disturb the globe.

After the master bedroom, we conducted one more session in the front room downstairs.  We moved the plasma globe there too, but no phenomena were observed during this session.  The night vision camera and ghost box were also moved downstairs for this session.  Ghost box session revealed several more interesting EVPs (see logs)

A few more notes.  It was determined that the cause of the enormous EMF in the front room downstairs was the overhead light.  We are still not sure how, but when the light is on, there is an odd EMF that follows a circular pattern that fades before it hits the wall (which seems to eliminate it being the wiring).  While we could explain it, it was clear that that was the cause of the readings.

Additionally, there is a large saltwater fish tank on the first level of the house whose filter systems can be heard all over the house.  Unfortunately this did corrupt a lot of recordings and they had to be thrown out as it was impossible to tell whether they were actual voices or emanations caused by the filter hums.    The evidence included in the logs has survived the elimination process.

No evidence of physical phenomena has been observed as reported by the Kings (re being touched or grabbed). However the audio and visual evidence has been intriguing, although inconclusive due to the number of questionable elements involved (sound pollution, mostly). 

Taking into consideration Case No: 00127 and this Case No: 00128, it is mutually agreed by those who investigated the King Residence that there is a high amount of paranormal activity in the home.

Julie and Larry have since moved to another home and to present have observed no activity in their new home. While it has taken a disproportionate amount of time to review evidence and provide the summary report, the sheer quantity of audio evidence that has been gathered during this investigation has been astounding and DSGH has made every effort to submit only evidence that meets our highest standards.
